Chi-Reflexology Newsletter March, 2013          Posted on: 24 Dec 2012
NSW, WA and UK Branch College News March, 2013

Hello one and all,

Hasn’t the year flown by. March already. I would like to share with you an overview of the continuing evolvement of the College on a whole, with news from NSW, WA and UK.

Sharon and I are continuing to work closely and Sharon has assisted me when required. Her input and valued assistance is acknowledged here. I do not know how I would have survived without her enthusiasm, love and support. As the year progresses, we have both been busy here in the Blue Mountains handling new interest with outside bodies and groups throughout the world who have embraced the up to date application of Clinical Reflexology and Chi-Reflexology.

Reminder that Reflexology 1 (Saturday 20/4 & Sunday 21/4/13) followed by Reflexology II is commencing soon. So get your enrolments in to secure a place.

The College offers 10 Continuing Education points per day for qualified therapists and reflexologists. If you are interested in any of these courses, contact the College. Hope to see you there.

Upcoming courses in the mountains are –
• Essential Oils & Reflexology 1 day seminar on Saturday 6/4/13
• Chi-Reflexology 1 4-day (two weekends) seminar on Saturday 13/4 & Sunday 14/4 AND Saturday 27/4 & Sunday 28/4/13
• Student Clinic 1 on Saturday 11/5/13
• Chi-Reflexology 2, 2-day seminar on Saturday25/5 & Sunday 26/5/13
• Clinical Practicum 1 on Saturday 8/6 & Sunday 9/6/13
• Spiritual/Crystal Reflexology on Saturday 15/6/13
• Hand Reflexology, 2-day seminar on Saturday 22/6 & Sunday 23/6, and finally
• The all new Qiropractic Foot Therapy by Maurice Federici on Saturday 29/6 & Sunday 30/6/13

Also, due to popular demand, I have included a 2nd Introduction to Chi-Reflexology 2-day seminar for the second half of the year, on Saturday 2/11 and Sunday 3/11/13. If interested, get your enrolment form in early to make sure reserve your place.

The website has been updated; there are now two new products available that can be purchased via PayPal: The new “World First” physical Clinical Reflexology Foot Chart is now available. This project was completed just this month and I am so pleased to get it finished and out. It completes the basic Reflexology component along with the accompanying book (soon to be eBook – keep your eyes on the website for more details) and Clinical Reflexology DVD.

This chart is full colour double-sided, with the plantar views on one side and the other three, (medial, lateral and dorsal) on the other, and it is very versatile as it can be hung on the wall or used as a stand-up or portable chart for reference purpose anywhere. Thanks to Sharon, my Assistant Principal for the idea.

The other website development launched this month is the full colour Systems of the Body Booklet, where each system individually can be viewed in full colour, as well as the colour Clinical Reflexology Foot Chart in the back. So there are two options available now – black and white or full colour. Another very useful tool for your practice. So have to look and see what you think. Any feedback gratefully received.

I am now in the process of writing three short e-books – Introductions to Hand, Foot and Chi-Reflexology, which will be available sometime in 2013. The first of these, Introduction to Hand Reflexology eBook has taken a great deal of time and effort and is getting closer to completion. Again keep an eye out through the website for updates.

The initiative of Distance Education Modules, especially the Distance Ed.approach to Reflexology II is working beautifully. We now have new students utilising the Course material, book, DVD and Clinical Reflexology colour Foot Chart to learn the module for the Reflexology II Certificate in remote areas. The fundamentals are introduced within Reflexology I – 2 day course, which the students attend, then only one other day,(the assessment day at the end of the Reflexology II) needs to be attended. .It is so accessible!

The other Distance Ed Modules are also listed on the website and downloadable as well. They cover the compulsory aspects of the Clinical Diploma such as A & P 1, Communications, Practice Management and so on. These of course can be done now when it suits each individual and are useful for graduates and qualified therapists to expand their knowledge and understanding as well as to gain Continuing Professional credits to maintain their professional Association status and Health Fund provider status.

Sharon has returned to her maiden name Windle and is continuing to oversee the WA Branch Diploma student’s progress, Sandra Ledwith is running the Lymphatic Drainage Reflexology module later in the year and we are still waiting for responses to organise the Chi-Reflexology I Course. Please contact Sharon to secure your place.

Sharon is working on her own new webpage for her Clinical Reflexology and Chi-Reflexology clinic here in the mountains. As soon as it is launched, we will inform you. Email Sharon sharonhartley17@gmail.com for any enquiries.

The latest development in the UK is the exciting news that Audrey Scully, Principal of the British College of Chi-Reflexology has designed and had printed a British College of Chi-Reflexology Polo shirt, and I have been given one of the first. Well done Audrey! You can see me proudly wearing the new Polo short below. Love the logo.

Audrey is continuing the Diploma (Level 3) training and is excited about its expansion and growth. Her efforts are beginning to bear fruit. She is also continuing to offer Post-

Graduate Chi-Reflexology training in the UK and Ireland, attending presentations at various Festivals and events as well as promoting Clinical Reflexology and Chi-Reflexology.

To remind you, Audrey set up a Chi-Reflexology Group on Facebook last year. This is a great place to ask questions and glean insight, if you would like to join please visit –
https://www.facebook.com/groups/348516561898557/ She is so well organised and keen she is even already planning what modules I will do for her in Sheffield in September/October 2014.

Next, the E-book version of both my books – “Reflexology: Basics of the Middle Way” and “Chi-Reflexology, Guidelines for the Middle Way” will also be on the products page as soon as possible, Unfortunately it has taken longer than expected but hopefully soon the Chi-Reflexology eBook will be available.

There have been no further developments from my publisher of my basic Reflexology book being converted to an E-book. It appears it has been put on hold, but I plan to follow this up shortly. I also have plans for many other interesting articles and material (when I get the time) to enhance our understanding of this unique approach to working with our clients, as so many of you know, with me, it is definitely a ‘Never ending story’!

I am currently still in the process of putting together my itinerary for my Lecture Tour of the USA and Canada in September/October 2013. So far I will be presenting a three-day Introduction to Chi-Reflexology seminar at the end of Sept in Evansville, Illinois for Kay Hummel email – n2wellness@live.com or Facebook. The following weekend (the 1st in Oct) I will be presenting a Chi-Reflexology 2, 4-day seminar in Charlotte NC for Cyndi Hill email - cynthh152@aol.com or Facebook. Once finalised I will post the details on the website.

Kindest Regards
Moss and Sharon
